The Word of God has the power to head the physical body. Due to the fall of man in the Garden, the human body became subject to sickness and disease. Through God’s immeasurable and unconditional love for us, He provided healing through His Word. We read in Proverbs 107:20: “He sent His Word and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction.”
When taking medication prescribed by a doctor, it is always important to follow instructions. A doctor takes it very seriously when he prescribes medication, and from what I have observed, most people are very faithful in following these instructions.
Jesus is the Great Physician, and the Word speaks to us regarding the importance of following His instructions. Proverbs 4:13 says His instructions are life. Sad to say, I have observed that most people are not as faithful in following God’s instructions as they are with man’s instructions. They do not take God’s instructions seriously.
Too often there is more faith in man’s medicine than in God’s medicine. …your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God: 1 Corinthians 2:5.
We can choose to take God’s medicine, being just as faithful with it as we are with prescription medication. The beauty of God’s medicine is that it has NO negative side effects. Luke 18:27 gives very encouraging words when facing a hopeless situation in the natural: “The things which are impossible with men or possible with God.”
Proverbs 4:20-22 tells us clearly that His Word IS medicine to our flesh. This book will take you through the steps of following His instructions in taking His medicine to receive healing and wholeness.
