The Father’s Priority
Dr. Marilyn Neubauer
The Father’s first priority for all mankind is to be born again. To become His child and receive Him as our Father. This free gift through Jesus Christ, guarantees us a home in Heaven throughout all eternity.
I am the way, the truth, and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6
Through this new birth, out spirit becomes alive to the Spirit of God. We are translated from the Kingdom of Darkness into His Kingdom of light.
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. I Peter 2:9
Once we enter His marvelous light, He has a second priority for us, that we come a worshipper.
But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father
in spirit and truth for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. John 4:23
One evening, after attending a healing seminar and previously participating in many worship seminars, I was so aware that there always seemed to be a greater attendance at healing seminars than there are at worship seminars.
I asked the Lord why that was and He immediately spoke these words to me.
Healing is what I give my people. Worship is what my people give to me. But my people are not givers like they think they are. But if my people will learn to worship me, not only will their healing come easier, but it will take them into a higher dimension of walking in divine health.
That was a real eye opener and a powerful truth.
The Father is seeking those who will worship Him. Worship is not an automatic response, it is a cultivated response. The catalyst that brings us into the place of worship is God’s Word.
To love His Word is to love Him and we know Him through His Word. Genuine worship comes from intimacy with Him. Worship is intimacy. It means to move forward with the intent to kiss.
An old Scotchman was once asked: ‘Why do you love the word of God so much?’ He replied; ‘It’s because I know the One who wrote it so very well.’
Oh that this would be our testimony.
I rejoice at Your word as one who finds great treasure. Psalm 165:162
